Oh sigh! Time goes by so fast. My days are actually slipping away right now. I am going back home mid Jan and I don’t feel ready for it. I feel like I am going to leave a life behind. Go back to something I am not anymore. The stuff we experience sometimes makes me wonder.
Anyways so much has happened. Last I left off talking about probable future adventures. Well many has happened. Me and peter did go to Okinawa. It was amazing. We traveled a lot and did many crazy things. We drove the whole main island of Okinawa. Went to some smaller islands for a few days and went snorkeling.
Back in Osaka we did a lot of fun stuff as well…but we added to our crew. Jerry a good long time friend from Vic came down to Osaka.. and all three of us were living in my small little apt. It was good, crazy, and a little dirty. Not bad considering 3 guys in there 20s in one place… mostly we just had the place cluttered… and Pete left pepsi cans every where. We spent our final days together.. seeing neighboring areas and hitting clubs. I know Pete enjoyed him self. We all became a little closer at this time.
After Pete left… me and Jerry chilled out a bit. Jerry was looking for work and money was running low. We still had a few adventures though.
I went to see the Hiroshima war museum with a girl I was dating. It was a 3 hour drive. It was nice we talked and we learned a lot at the museum.
Christmas approaches and many more events arise. I had a special xmas party lunch held by the parents of my class. End of the year going away party at work. Which included a crazy gaijin karaoke party. Xmas eve was nothing special until I enlisted to work as a santa at a dept store. No sitting. I just handed out candies on the toy floor…and delivered presents to homes. I met some interesting people. Made about 200 for one day of work.
Xmas day was spent at a friends house having a fondue party. With our two girls.
For future events it is looking like a few more special get-togethers for the season xmas/new years and a going away party for me. One last trip to Tokyo and I will be back home. Its hard to believe how fast time flies and honestly I don’t want this to end…but I also do not want to keep doing what I am doing in life. Time to get what I want out of it. Time to take what I have learned here and put my chips on the line.
Here’s to Change! To a New year and to friendship!!!
Enjoy
